Darryl Pilgrim and Ted Evetts are among those doing well during the opening weekend of the PDC Challenge Tour. Both players are into the quarter-finals at Challenge Tour 3.
Pilgrim has the tough test of Danny Jansen in the next round, already a winner on the Challenge Tour this year. Pilgrim, who posted an average of 110.97 in his match against Tom Sykes (5-2). Daniel Ayres, Thomas Lovely, Oskar Lukasiak, Chris Quantock and Dragutin Horvat are the other quarterfinalists.
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who participated in the Q-School but did not win a Tour Card. On this tour, starting tickets for the 2024 Pro Tour and Tour Cards for 2025 and 2026 can be earned. The highest-ranked players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit are eligible for reserve spots on the Players Championships.
