Dave Chisnall has proposal for his beloved Liverpool: "Get me and Stephen Bunting down to give the lads a lesson #YNWA"

Stephen Bunting and Dave Chisnall, ranked number five and seven in the world respectively, are well-known supporters of Liverpool Football Club. Soon they may also be visiting the club together to teach the players and staff the tricks of darts.

Bunting and Chisnall have both been turning heads in the PDC for years. Bunting in particular has been doing extremely well in recent months, including a semifinal place at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship and a tournament victory at the Bahrain Darts Masters earlier this year. Unlike Chisnall, Bunting was also selected for the 2025 Premier League Darts. In that event, however, he is still winless at the time of writing.

Liverpool fans were recently invited via social media to send in questions that Arne Slot (the Premier League leader's head coach) could answer. Bunting himself forwarded the following question with Sky Sports: "Hi Arne, just wondering who the best darter is within the squad and management?"

Slot, who has previously admitted to being compared with Michael van Gerwen due to their similarly bald head, replied: "[Within the] management, I have no clue because we never do this. From what I heard, Caoimhin [Kelleher] is quite good. It would be a surprise to me if anyone is better than me and the staff!"

When asked who would win in a match between himself and Kelleher, Slot was completely certain: "Oh, Caoimhin for sure because I'm not good. I assume Sipke [Hulshoff, assistant coach] is a bit smaller than me, so it's difficult for him to reach the board."

The clip in which Slot reacted went viral on social media and prompted a response from Chisnall, who as mentioned, is also known to be a fan of 'The Reds' as well. He offered to join forces with Bunting and teach Liverpool's players and staff a thing or two, writing on X (formerly Twitter): "Get me and Stephen Bunting down to give the lads a lesson #YNWA."
