Dave Chisnall seals fourth PDC title of 2024 with emphatic Players Championship 23 final win over Chris Dobey

Dave Chisnall has sealed the title at Players Championship 23. The top seed has lived up to his billing today and has claimed a second ProTour of the season. He defeated Chris Dobey 8-4 in the final.

Chisnall has claimed a 26th PDC title as a result. He has won eight European Tours and 17 Players Championship titles in his career. It is a fourth PDC title of the season overall with glory also on the European Tour.

Dobey hand a handful to hold to begin the match and Chisnall broke with a 120 checkout for 1-0. Dobey again struggled and Chisnall held on double one for 2-0.

Dobey hit an effortless 149 on double 16 to hold and go 2-1 down. Chisnall missed 142 for 3-1 but he returned for it with Dobey missing a break chance for 2-2. Dobey missed 106 for 3-3 and Chisnall returned only to miss more chances and 'Hollywood' broke for 3-3.

But Chisnall broke back with a 116 checkout for 4-3. He hit a 66 checkout to hold and open up a two-leg cushion again for 5-3. He hit 77 for 6-3.

Dobey missed 106 for 6-4 and Chisnall said thank you very much pinning double 20 for 7-3. Chisnall missed the chance for the match and he had to go again. He finally sealed it with a 76 checkout.
