De Decker who in a group with Bunting and Premier League leader, Glen Durrant was seen as potentially an outside bet lost his first game 6-5 to 'The Bullet' as the St Helens ace made a strong start.

But despite that, he reeled off four consecutive legs to dispel Alan Tabern 6-5 with a 98.5 average and 6/9 on his doubles to keep himself in proceedings and this was further helped when he ended the chances of Durrant in a 6-4 win.

This made the equation very simple going into an all St Helens clash between Stephen Bunting and Alan Tabern.

De Decker needed Bunting to lose to Tabern by two legs and the latter claimed it 6-2 with a high checkout of 160 to hand the Belgian the win as he joins Jelle Klaasen in the first semi-final group.

The players who win Groups One-Four will go onto Semi-Final One on Wednesday June 3 with the winners from Groups Five-Eight set to play on Thursday June 4 before that aforementioned Championship Group.

All games will be best of 11 legs and each night’s action will commence at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
