The first Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title for Jeffrey de Graaf who goes second on the Order of Merit!
Jeffrey de Graaf did good business on the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour last weekend. This circuit is open to darters from the Nordic and Baltic countries. Two spots for the PDC World Darts Championship can be earned via this circuit.
The circuit consists of ten tournaments. Last weekend, tournaments seven and eight were played in Finland. Marko Kantele won the first event of the weekend at the expense of Dennis Nilsson (6-5), further extending his already comfortable leading position.
However, the eighth event of the year was won by Jeffrey de Graaf. He settled with Paavo Myller (6-1) in the final match. De Graaf had already lost two finals on the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour earlier this year. Thanks to his title, he moved up to second place in the rankings.
The lead over Larsson (350 points) is extremely slight, so De Graaf will have to pull out all the stops during the final weekend of play (15-16 July in Riga) to cash in on his good starting position.
De Graaf, from the Dutch province of North Holland, has been living in Sweden with his girlfriend for several years. Only this year he also got Swedish citizenship, allowing him to participate in the Nordic and Baltic Tour.
