De Sousa dumps out Price, Labanauskas sees off out of sorts Cullen

More seeds have been toppled at the European Darts Grand Prix with Gerwyn Price and Joe Cullen both out in Sindelfingen.

Price who was in his first action since winning the World Grand Prix lost out in a 6-3 defeat to Jose de Sousa. Despite averaging three points more than 'The Special One', his doubling was the main issue.

He hit just 20% on his doubles including in losing the final leg with De Sousa missing double 16 for a 131. Price had three clear darts at 16 but missed two at double four allowing the Portuguese ace to move through.

Darius Labanauskas will face De Sousa now after the Lithuanian saw off Cullen in a 6-2 win. Neither player was at their best but Cullen was out of sorts hitting a 79 average and 2/9 on his doubles in a display which doesn't match his current form.

But 'Lucky D's doubling on the otherhand was up at 46% which proved decisive in booking his Quarter-Final place.
