De Sousa potentially on course for new Premier League 180 record

With the latest round of Premier League action complete and the latter stages set to conclude the tournament at the end of May, Jose de Sousa as expected leads the way when it comes to 180s with 66 in all.

De Sousa currently sits fourth in the Premier League during his debut season and is in the play-off hunt with his scoring being the main part of his game that has impressed.

He leads Dimitri van den Bergh (52), Gary Anderson (46) and Nathan Aspinall (46) with all three also looking up the table.

League leader, Michael van Gerwen on the other hand has not hit the heights with 30 in all with only Rob Cross, James Wade and Glen Durrant worse off with Cross and Durrant both relegated.

For De Sousa though, he could break a record in front of fans when they return with the tournament record currently sat at 79 hit by Anderson in 2011 and who could bet against 'The Special One' achieving the feat.
