Jose de Sousa and Peter Wright have shared the spoils in a high quality contest which is the penultimate tie of the first half of this year's
Premier League Darts.
De Sousa hit an 11-darter in the decider with Wright throwing for the match in a tie which saw the Portuguese ace hit a 101 average and seven 180's a piece between the duo.
Wright claimed a break early on thanks to a 12 darter in the form of an 81 checkout on double 12. He consolidated that pinning double five with his final dart to hold at 3-1 up.
Wright opened up with six perfect darts but lost the leg as De Sousa took out 31 on double eight for a 14 dart hold to make it 3-2.
Following that, he broke back to make it parity at 3-3. 'The Special One' missed two darts at double eight to retake the lead though and Wright made him pay with a brilliant 139 to break and move back ahead.
Both exchanged breaks from there with Wright sat at 5-4 up and he secured a point at 6-4 up on double 12.
De Sousa put pressure on with a 14-dart leg to make it 6-5 with Wright throwing for the win from there or it would be a draw.
It was a draw though as De Sousa sprung an 11-darter in the decider to share the spoils.
