Jose de Sousa has continued his Premier League Darts form at the expense of Peter Wright who once again looked out of sorts in an 8-1 defeat.
De Sousa averaged 103 and hit 61% on the doubles as he strengthens his play-off bid while Wright looks to be out of contention to end the latest block.
De Sousa took out 74 for an immediate break of throw and watched as Wright changed his darts after just one leg.
This did not help matters as The Special One coasted into a 4-0 lead with a 102 average. Wright went two double 20's and this backfired as De Sousa saw off 62 to lead 5-0.
A 16 darter on double 16 saw De Sousa 6-0 up and cruising towards the win. It wasn't to be a whitewash though as Wright finally got on the board at 6-1.
But it wasn't to be a comeback as De Sousa went one away and assured himself of a point at 7-1.
Wright put himself on for a nine-dart finish on his throw but couldn't hold from there and De Sousa completed a dominant win with double 15 after a 180.
