De Sousa tops PDC Super Series 3 averages for second consecutive day

The top averages have been revealed from Day Two at PDC Super Series 3 with Jose de Sousa once again topping them for the second day in a row.

'The Special One' has been living up to his moniker with some of his displays as of late and smashed in a 117 average and a nine-dart finish in a whitewash win against Jermaine Wattimena yesterday.

This saw him ahead of eventual winner Michael Smith who produced 114.52 against Dimitri van den Bergh en route to the title.

While rounding out the top five are three names who are likely expected due to their performances on the ProTour.

These being Steve Lennon (108.97) Brendan Dolan (108.89) and Jermaine Wattimena (106.09). All three reached the latter stages yesterday and have been consistent performers on the Players Championship series.

Further down is another interesting average with 104.09 from William Borland as he dumped out Michael van Gerwen.

From 2-2, he went on a four leg streak averaging around 120 before winning 6-2, as the young Scot produced another good run.
