De Sousa whitewashes struggling Evans as Cross surges past Lennon at International Darts Open

The second round continues at the 2023 International Darts Open in Riesa with Jose de Sousa and Rob Cross continuing the good fortune for seeded players on Saturday.

De Sousa brushed aside a struggling Lee Evans who couldn't back up his opening win on Friday and it was a 6-0 whitewash for 'The Special One'. He hit two 180's, a 92 average and a high checkout of 114 with 60% on the doubles.

This compared to a 78 average from Evans who got a sole dart at a double in a disappointing end to his European Tour return.

While for Cross, he got back to business and winning ways with a 6-3 win over Steve Lennon. It was a routine victory for 'Voltage' as he sunk Scuba Steve with a 90 average, four 180's despite 27.3% on the doubles.
