De Zwaan produces stunning display to defeat Clemens and reach maiden World Grand Prix Quarter-Final

Jeffrey de Zwaan is through to the Quarter-Finals of the World Grand Prix after producing a stunning display to see off Gabriel Clemens 3-0 in Coventry.

De Zwaan who like Simon Whitlock who is also through was a late replacement have proven themselves when given their opportunity and 'The Black Cobra' showed it here.

He hit six 180's and a 10-darter to win to progress through to this stage of the double start tournament for the first time.

De Zwaan was dominant in the first set taking it without reply and came back in the second from 2-1 down to take it in a decider to double his lead.

It was the third set which was most impressive with the Dutchman hitting a 112.73 average in the final set. He took a break to lead after Clemens fluffed his lines and pinned double four to double his lead.

From there, a brilliant 10-darter sealed it as he won through in double quick time against the German Giant.
