De Zwaan sets sights on European Championship glory: ‘I want to be in the final and win this tournament’

Jeffrey de Zwaan has set his sights firmly on European Championship glory after victory over Peter Wright.
De Zwaan said that from his perspective you have to play well to beat Wright and that especially with MVG now out, he fancies his chances.
"You know you have to play well against Peter and I think I played really well," said ‘The Black Cobra’ who is making his first European Championship appearance since 2015.
"If you want to win the tournament you have to beat them all.
"I want to be in the final and win the tournament, and with the world number one that helps my chances of course."

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
