Nathan Aspinall will not attempt to defend his title at the European Darts Trophy. The winner of the Euro Tour event in Göttingen in 2025 has withdrawn from the upcoming edition.
From Friday, March 13th, through to Sunday, March 15th, the second Euro Tour event of the year will be played in Germany. Aspinall claimed his first-ever Euro Tour title there last year but has pulled out of the European Darts Trophy for unknown reasons.
Aspinall is not the only player to withdraw for the coming weekend. James Wade, a UK Open finalist last weekend, will also remain in England. Gary Anderson, who often skips Euro Tours, has likewise pulled out.
In accordance with PDC rules, the three highest-ranked losers from the final round at the Tour Card Qualifier have been called up as replacements. They are Mensur Suljovic, Keane Barry, and Lukas Wenig.
