Luke Littler has enjoyed success away from the oche. The world darts champion had a particularly lucrative day at the Cheltenham Festival, where a winning bet netted him a haul worth thousands of pounds. The nineteen-year-old Englishman shared a photo on social media of a successful wager that returned just over £64,000 in total, after he and a tipster both backed the same horse.
Littler spent the past few days at the famous horse racing festival in Cheltenham, clearly relishing the atmosphere and the company. The reigning world champion attended the first two days of the event, spending time with the likes of Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall, and television personality Jeremy Kyle.
Day two of the festival brought another sizeable win for the young Englishman. Littler celebrated Mourne Rambler’s victory in the 5:20 PM Weatherbys Champion Bumper and was visibly thrilled from the stands as the horse crossed the line first. Earlier in the day he had already landed a big return with a winning punt on King Rasko Grey.

The darts buzz at Cheltenham

With a £700 stake, Littler managed to win £2,500. He placed that bet alongside a Pro Sports Advice tipster, who backed the same horse and ended up landing £64,000. The pair later posed together with their winning tickets, and the photo was shared on social media.
It wasn’t the first time this week that Littler tasted success at the festival. On Cheltenham’s opening day, he was spotted following the races with his girlfriend, Faith Millar. The teenager spent the afternoon in a hospitality suite at the racecourse, surrounded by friends and fellow darts players.
Luke Humphries was also in attendance and likewise chalked up a winning bet. The world number two earned £3,250 after staking £1,000 on Old Park Star, which won the day’s opening race. Humphries indicated that the winnings will be donated to charity.
For Littler, the trip to Cheltenham offers a relaxed break during a spell in which he is once again dominating on the oche. The young Englishman recently won the UK Open and leads the world rankings convincingly.
