A maximum from Searle in timely fashion left 42 which saw him go 2-1 up. It was four in four legs for Searle as he stretched his lead again with a hold in the form of double 20 and he was 3-2 up. He returned for a 110 checkout to make it 4-2 but Van Duijvenbode broke back to make it 4-3.
Only for Searle to sink double 20 after Van Duijvenbode missed 46 and he went 5-3 up. An 88 checkout saw Searle consolidate and he went 6-3 up.
Van Duijvenbode saw a dart bounce out going for double nine but as a result had an open bed to aim at and he pinned it to hold and make it 6-4.

He crashed in two 180’s in the requisite leg en route to parity at 6-6. Searle regained the lead but missed one at double 20 and Van Duijvenbode made it 7-7. They continued to exchange legs until Van Duijvenbode sealed a timely break of throw on double 20 to make it 9-8 before smashing in a 138 checkout for the win.
