Draw 2023 European Championship: Raymond van Barneveld meets Michael Smith, top seed Dave Chisnall faces Chris Dobey

The draw has now been completed for the European Championship in Dortmund from October 26 to 29. This was completed due to the conclusion of the PDC European Tour.

Raymond van Barneveld will take on reigning world champion Michael Smith, who is only seeded eighth at the European Championship, in the first round.

Leading the seeds at the European Championship is Dave Chisnall who won three Euro Tour tournaments in 2023, will face Chris Dobey in the first round. Luke Humphries is the second seed after six Euro Tour finals. 'Cool Hand Luke' is paired with Brendan Dolan in the first round.

Peter Wright awaits a meeting with Gabriel Clemens, while Gerwyn Price will square off against Keane Barry. World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall faces Ryan Searle in the first round, and defending champion Ross Smith begins his hunt for defending his title against Ricardo Pietreczko. Danny Noppert will play Andrew Gilding in a duel between the last two winners of the UK Open.

Dirk van Duijvenbode starts his tournament against eleven-time major-winner James Wade. Michael van Gerwen faces off with Madars Razma, while Gian van Veen makes his debut at this event against Damon Heta. Dimitri van den Bergh is the only Belgian participant at the European Championship. 'The Dreammaker' will face Rob Cross.
