Draw 2024 Players Championship Finals including Littler-Cross and Dobey-Aspinall at Minehead curtain raiser

With the end of the Players Championship season, the draw for the 2024 Players Championship Finals has also been announced. The top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit may compete in these.

The Players Championship Finals is considered the final tournament prior to the World Darts Championship. The event will take place from Friday, Nov. 22, through Sunday, Nov. 24, in Minehead.

Leading the seeds is Chris Dobey, who earned the most prize money at Players Championship tournaments this year. 'Hollywood' is paired with No. 64, the spot occupied by Nathan Aspinall. There is also a cracker between Luke Littler and Rob Cross in the first round.

Seven-time Players Championship Finals winner Van Gerwen begins his tournament against Ian White. Luke Humphries will defend his title and faces Gabriel Clemens. Newly crowned European champion, Ritchie Edhouse faces Luke Woodhouse in a repeat of Dortmund, Josh Rock takes on Ricky Evans, while Ross Smith faces Dimitri van den Bergh. Daryl Gurney also will pit his wits against Peter Wright. As Dave Chisnall faces Joe Cullen also.

It is the sixteenth time the Players Championship Finals has been played. Van Gerwen is the record winner with seven titles, while Phil Taylor is the only other player to win this tournament more than once. In 2023, the event was won by Luke Humphries, who triumphed 11-9 against Van Gerwen in the final.
