Draw and schedule Australian Darts Masters 2024 | Peter Wright takes on Simon Whitlock in tie of the opening round

Peter Wright will play Simon Whitlock in the first round of the 2024 Australian Darts Masters, the draw for the World Series tournament in the Australian city of Wollongong has revealed.

The WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong will be the battleground of the first of two World Series tournaments in 'Down Under' on August 9 and 10. Another tournament will be played in New Zealand next week.
Wright is one of eight PDC stars to take on one of the top local players. With Whitlock, he will meet the long time face of Australian darts in the opening round of the tournament.
World champion Luke Humphries will be there in 'Down Under' for the first time. He was paired with Joe Comito, one of the winners of the qualifying tournament, in the draw for the Australian Darts Masters. Teen sensation Luke Littler will also meet one of the Australian qualifiers. Littler will play his first match on Australian soil against Rob Modra.
Dimitri Van den Bergh will take on DPA star Jeremy Fagg. Besides Whitlock, of the Oceanic representatives, Haupai Puha also holds a PDC Tour Card. The New Zealander will face Rob Cross, the defending champion at the World Series tournament in Wollongong.
For Michael Smith, the tournament begins with a duel against Stuart Cuborn. Gerwyn Price will square off against Brenton Lloyd, while for Damon Heta a meeting awaits with John Hurring.
The first round starts on Friday, August 9, from 10:00 a.m. UK time. The eight winners will advance to the final day of the Australian Darts Masters. On Saturday, Aug. 10, the quarter-finals, semifinals and final will be played consecutively.

- I loved Jan and loved his walk on music "Explode" by Jordan & Baker. I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive.
