The draw and schedule for the 2024 Czech Darts Open has been announced. The final Euro Tour tournament of the season will take place in the Czech capital of Prague from October 18th-20th.
The Czech Darts Open is on the program for the fourth time. The very first edition in 2019 had a surprising winner. Jamie Hughes then took the title by dealing with Stephen Bunting in the final. After the two corona years, the event returned to the Euro Tour calendar in 2022. Luke Humphries then captured the title after defeating Rob Cross in the final. In 2023, the first spot was for Peter Wright, who walked away with the title at the expense of Dave Chisnall.

The final qualifying spot for the European Championship is in the hands of Nathan Aspinall. 'The Asp' has a favourable draw as he meets a Home Nation Qualifier but then has Luke Littler laying in wait. His main pursuers are Callan Rydz and Cameron Menzies. They start against Martin Lukeman and Peter Wright, respectively. Rydz and Menzies also appear to need to reach at least the third round to have a chance of qualifying for the European Championship.
Elsewhere, Raymond van Barneveld has a tough draw at the Czech Darts Open. The 57-year-old Dutchman starts his tournament against Daryl Gurney and faces Gerwyn Price in the second round if he wins against 'Superchin'. Michael Smith faces off against Kevin Doets with, Ryan Searle will face him in the last 32.
Michael van Gerwen will play against the winner from the match between Krzysztof Ratajski and Madars Razma, while Luke Humphries will battle Ritchie Edhouse or a host nation qualifier.
It will be an important weekend for Dimitri van den Bergh. 'The Dreammaker' needs to reach at least the third round to qualify for the European Championship. The Belgian will then have to beat both Jonny Clayton and Stephen Bunting. The brand new World Grand Prix champion Mike de Decker lays on against Claydon. 'The Real Deal' has virtually qualified for the European Championship, but can secure placement with a win over Claydon.
