From Friday, Oct. 18 to Sunday, Oct. 20, the
Czech Darts Open 2024 is scheduled at the PVA EXPO in Prague. The Czech capital is hosting the last Euro Tour tournament of the year. It is
the fourth time that this Euro Tour tournament will be held.
The tournament will be broadcast by Viaplay and PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Czech Darts Open consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00, while the evening sessions start at 18:00.
Virtually all the big names are present at the final tournament of the PDC
European Tour 2024. The top-16 seeded players include players such as Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen, Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen.
The sixteen Order of Merit qualifiers were also assured of an automatic starting spot at the Czech Darts Open but must start from the first round. This includes Jonny Clayton, Michael Smith, Raymond van Barneveld, Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall, Dimitri van den Bergh and the brand new World Grand Prix champion Mike de Decker. Via the Tour Card qualifying tournament, James Wade, Gabriel Clemens, Kevin Doets, Jermaine Wattimena and Niels Zonneveld, among others, managed to secure their entry for this event.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. Sunday will see the denouement of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
The Czech Darts Open is scheduled for its fourth time. The very first edition in 2019 had a surprise winner. Jamie Hughes then took the title by taking down Stephen Bunting in the final. After the two corona years, the event returned to the Euro Tour calendar in 2022. Luke Humphries then captured the title after defeating Rob Cross in the final. In 2023, the first spot was for Peter Wright, who walked away with the title at the expense of Dave Chisnall.
