Another Players Championship tournament is scheduled for Saturday in Barnsley. A field of 128 players will battle for the title at the 28th Players Championship tournament of the season starting at 1 p.m.
A number of the sport's top stars will be competing including Dave Chisnall, Raymond van Barneveld, Dimitri van den Bergh, Peter Wright, Rob Cross, Jonny Clayton, Joe Cullen, Gary Anderson, Stephen Bunting, Josh Rock, James Wade and Danny Noppert.
Some big stars are missing including Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith but there is still plenty of talent on show. Yesterday's shock winner of Players Championship 27, Radek Szaganski will again be in action and faces Daniel Klose in his first round tie.
A total of 100,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 12,000 pounds.
