Draw confirmed for 2022 World Series of Darts Finals: Wright to face Sherrock in standout first round tie

The draw has been confirmed ahead of the World Series of Darts Finals which will take place between Friday September 16 - Sunday September 18 in Amsterdam at the AFAS Live.

It will stage the 24-player event for a third time with PDC President Barry Hearn making the draw and has put World Champion Peter Wright up against Women's World Matchplay champion, Fallon Sherrock with the winner set to face Michael Smith.

UK Open champion, Danny Noppert on home soil will face World Cup champion, Simon Whitlock with the winner set to face reigning champion, Jonny Clayton.

Whitlock's World Cup partner, Damon Heta faces Gordon Mathers in an all-Australian clash with the winner facing Michael van Gerwen.

Top seed Dimitri van den Bergh who won at the Nordic Darts Masters and Dutch Darts Masters in June will face Danny Baggish or Ryan Joyce, while World Number One Gerwyn Price will take on Vincent van der Voort or Canada's Matt Campbell.

2018 champion, James Wade takes on the winner of the first round tie between Leonard Gates and Devon Petersen, while Joe Cullen could lock horns again with Dave Chisnall if the latter gets through Jamie Hughes.

In addition, Gary Anderson makes his World Series return to face Dirk van Duijvenbode or Haupai Puha.
