Draw for Day One of PDC Winter Series: Wright faces De Zwaan in first round, Anderson against Hamilton

The PDC darters are getting ready for five days of darts. Five Players Championship tournaments are scheduled in Coventry during the PDC Winter Series, which starts on Tuesday afternoon.
Among the entries are world number two Peter Wright and world number three Gerwyn Price. World champion Wright will get his tournament underway against Dutch prospect Jeffrey de Zwaan, while Price faces Harald Leitinger from Austria.
Adrian Lewis meets Gabriel Clemens in one of the most interesting first round ties, while Gary Anderson plays against Andy Hamilton. Jim Williams and Keane Barry are both making their Pro Tour debuts on Tuesday and are drawn to Josh Payne and Scott Baker respectively.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
