Draw for Day Two of PDC Winter Series: Cross faces Van den Bergh in eye-catching tie of the first round

Day Two of the PDC Winter Series is on the schedule on Wednesday in Coventry. 127 players will compete for the second title this week, as number one seed Gerwyn Price received a draw in the first round.
The first round will see former world champion Rob Cross taking on Dimitri van den Bergh in the most eye-catching tie of the first round. Former BDO World Championship finalists Jim Williams and Scott Mitchell are also drawn to each other, while world champion Peter Wright faces Kai Fan Leung.
Tuesday's winner Michael Smith meets Derk Telnekes in his opening game, while Glen Durrant kicks off his tournament against Steve West. Dave Chisnall will play against Jeffrey de Zwaan in another interesting first round tie. Stephen Bunting faces Simon Whitlock, who's currently not seeded anymore at the Pro Tour events.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
