Anderson withdraws from remaining Winter Series events due to knee injury

Gary Anderson will not play any further part in the PDC Winter Series this week due to a knee problem which has seen him withdraw from Day Two.

Anderson withdrawing meant that Gerwyn Price received a bye through to the second round. The extent of Anderson's injury is not yet known but it has prompted him to withdraw from the remaining days.

He has suffered injury problems in recent years with his back being a major issue. It seemed to blight him on Tuesday with a first round defeat to Andy Hamilton.

He will still hope to be fit in time for next week when he plays in the Grand Slam of Darts also in Coventry next Monday.
