The seventeenth Players Championship tournament of the season gets underway from 1 p.m. in Milton Keynes. The field of participants consists of 128 players, including many of the sport's top names.

Remarkably, Mike de Decker and Ricky Evans were paired together in the draw. De Decker won Players Championship 16 on Thursday by defeating Evans of all people in the final. So Friday afternoon is an immediate rematch and chance for revenge for 'Rapid Ricky'.

Elsewhere, big names such as Gerwyn Price will be against Pascal Rupprecht, Michael Smith faces Karel Sedlacek, Peter Wright goes head to head with Berry van Peer and Rob Cross takes on Robbie Knopps among others ties, with the likes of Gary Anderson, Jonny Clayton, Dave Chisnall and Stephen Bunting all also in action.

A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
