Durrant began the night and the Premier League leader lived up to his billing with a 5-1 win over Vincent van der Meer with a 101.8 average and 5/8 on his doubles as he set out a mark to beat early doors.
Pipe though joined him in that seeing off Maik Kuivenhoven - who has been like the Taunton ace very much impressive to begin the season but he succumbed to a 5-1 defeat with 'The Force' being as lethal on the doubles at 5/7 on the doubles.
Kuivenhoven kept himself very much in proceedings though with a 5-1 win of his own seeing off his compatriot Vincent van der Meer in a tie where he was on for a whitewash.
Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner.
All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
All PDC Home Tour action will be broadcast live on PDCTV for free to all registered PDCTV users; regardless of whether you have a paid or free membership.
