England are safely through after a fourth straight clean sweep of the afternoon session at the
World Cup of Darts and they are now through to the Quarter-Finals where they will face host nation Austria.
Smith gave England a perfect start against a dangerous opponent in Darius Labanauskas coming through in a 4-0 whitewash victory to add the first point onto the board.
He averaged 91 which was ten points more than his opponent and proved pivotal with 4/11 on his doubles (36%) while Labanauskas hit a solitary 180 and 0/3 on his doubles to hand the pressure onto his teammate, Mindaugas Barauskas.
Barauskas who has looked good as of late and has made his European Tour debut since the restart showed some of that form to begin his tie against
Rob Cross taking out 82 to go 2-1 up on 'Voltage'.
But the former World Champion returned to the foray and took out 68 to make it 2-2 before he claimed a 10-dart leg to break throw and move 3-2 ahead. It was concluded from there as England made it through unscathed.
