Luke Littler is unsurprisingly the early frontrunner on the European Tour Order of Merit after winning the opening Euro Tour tournament of the season, 'The Nuke' triumphed at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze last weekend.

In the final of the Belgian Darts Open, Littler won 8-7 over Rob Cross after a cracker. With the final victory in Belgium, the 17-year-old teenage sensation immediately pocketed £30,000 for the European Tour Order of Merit. Cross as the runner-up, takes 12,000 pounds in prize money.

Gerwyn Price and Ricardo Pietreczko were eliminated in the semi-finals and share third place with £8500. Stephen Bunting, Jermaine Wattimena, Jonny Clayton and Ryan Searle earned 6,000 pounds after reaching the quarter-finals.

Dave Chisnall, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Josh Rock, Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, Ross Smith, Krzysztof Ratajski, Nathan Aspinall, Dimitri van den Bergh, Martin Schindler, Andrew Gilding, Daryl Gurney, Gian van Veen, José de Sousa and Raymond van Barneveld are missing from the rankings. They did not have to play a qualifying tournament to qualify for the Belgian Darts Open, and that meant they had to win at least one match in the main tournament for the prize money to count toward the various rankings. However, the aforementioned fifteen names went down in their opening match.

At the end of the season, the 32 best players in the rankings will compete in the European Championship in Dortmund. This tournament is scheduled from Oct. 24 to 27.
