Evans who backed up his early form in the competition at the start of the week claimed the third group win yesterday denying the dominance of the early stages of Wessel Nijman.

He had pressure on him to claim this win as well with Nijman seeing off Jenkins meaning that Evans had to win his decider and he won it in style.
Now it seems that the young Dutchman and the BDO World Championship participant are the two players in the reckoning now for the first win overall this week with them both locked on 24 points.
