Evetts claims 13th title on PDC Development Tour

Ted Evetts has won PDC Development Tour 7 on Saturday afternoon, as he claims his 13th title on the Development Tour.

Evetts defeated Joe Davis 5-3 in the final, as both finalists saw off Dutch players in the semi-finals. Super Ted beat Friday's winner Damian Mol, while Davis overcame Berry van Peer.

The Development Tour is the PDC's youth circuit. This tour is open to players between the ages of 16 and 23, when they are not in the top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit on January 2, 2020.

The likes of Berry van Peer, Martin Schindler, Niels Zonneveld, Keane Barry, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Ted Evetts and Geert Nentjes are allowed to play in these events. This does not apply to reigning world youth champion Luke Humphries, since the Englishman is now 25 years old.

Following Sunday's Event Ten, the top two players from the final Development Tour Order of Merit will win a two-year PDC Tour Card and a place in the 2020/21 William Hill World Darts Championship.

In addition, players from the Development Tour Order of Merit will progress to compete in Monday's PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Last 96.
