Evetts snatches deciding leg win over Murray, Smith-Neale and Hunt ease through

The first round continues at the Gibraltar Darts Trophy with Ted Evetts, Adam Smith-Neale and Adam Hunt through to the second day of action.

Evetts was involved in the toughest test of the trio recovering from 5-3 and surviving five match darts to edge past Ryan Murray in a decider.

He did so with a flourish pinning a 108 checkout booking his place in the second round as a result.

Now Dirk van Duijvenbode will await for 'Super Ted' with the hopes that this close test will stand him in good stead.

While for Hunt and Smith-Neale, they will face off against Damon Heta and Jonny Clayton respectively after easing through their opening ties.

On his debut on the European Tour, the former World Masters champion breezed past Host Nation Qualifier, Justin Broton 6-1 with a 93 average and 42% on the doubles in a solid display.

While for Hunt, he breezed past an out of sorts Geert Nentjes 6-0 producing four 180's and 46% on the doubles while despite two 180's, it was 0/7 from the Dutchman.
