Murnan and Harrysson dump out Kleermaker and Barry to begin Gibraltar Darts Trophy

The action at the 2021 Gibraltar Darts Trophy isn't going the way of the favoured players so far with Keane Barry and Martijn Kleermaker dumped out in the opening round.

Harrysson, the PDC Nordic and Baltic qualifier produced an 85 average but it was his doubling which proved the successful part of the tie against Barry.

He hit 75% (6/8) in a 6-3 win to book his place in a second round tie with Danny Noppert.

While for Kleermaker, it was a 6-5 defeat against Joe Murnan after the latter capitalised on multiple missed match darts to hold his nerve and move through.

'The Dutch Giant' missed four chances to win the decider but failed to hit a decisive double and Murnan himself on his fifth match dart claimed his spot in the second round.
