PDC Europe has announced the details for the PDC Europe Super League. From Nov. 7 to 11, 24 darters from Germany will compete for a spot at the World Darts Championship.
The tournament will begin with four groups of six players. During the first two tournament days, players will play twice against the other players in their group. After these matches, the two worst-performing players drop out.
The remaining sixteen are then divided into two groups of eight players each. They will again play twice on Nov. 9 and 10 against the other players in the group. Then the four best players in each group advance to the final eight. The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will then take place on Friday, Nov. 11.
Participants include
Florian Hempel,
Max Hopp, Rene Eidams, Dragutin Horvat,
Nico Kurz and Fabian Schmutzler. The tournament was won last year by Martin Schindler. However, he is already qualified for the World Darts Championship and thus will not participate in this year's Super League.
