Martin Schindler could not grace his debut at the
World Grand Prix with a victory. 'The Wall' went down hard on Tuesday night against Gerwyn Price.
Schindler managed to grab just one leg in his appearance at the Morningside Arena in Leicester. Price won the two sets by the set scores of 3-1 and 3-0.
''I was very disappointed and frustrated and not only with the result,'' Schindler reacted on Facebook. ''Especially about the way I played. Of course it's annoying that of course at the big big events, where you can earn the most for the ranking, you can't show your best game.''
Yet Schindler also sees it as a learning moment. ''I'm grateful for every defeat and difficult situation in my life because you can use that to get better. A lot of times I'm pretty hard on myself and that's not fair. For example, I definitely won more games this year than I lost. This is not a given for me, it should and will happen a lot more. I believe in myself and in my ability to play darts.''
