Four teams for the
World Cup of Darts were not yet complete, but after the latest weekend of the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour last weekend, their selections are also complete.
Vladimir Andersen's Danish teammate, for instance, was not yet known. That role will now be taken by Benjamin Drue Reus. Paavo Myller will join Marko Kantele in the Finnish team.
Mindaugas Barauaskas will join Darius Labanauskas in Lithuania's team. Vitor Charrua and Halli Egils will make their debut for Iceland at the tournament.
Format World Cup of Darts
Earlier this year, it became clear that the format for the World Cup of Darts had undergone a major overhaul. A total of forty countries will participate in the country tournament and only pairs matches will be played.
Moreover, the tournament starts with a group stage. The group phase consists of 12 groups of three countries each. The winner of each group will advance to the knockout phase. The four top nations England, the Netherlands, Wales and Scotland are directly admitted to the Last 16.
This year's World Cup of Darts will be played in Frankfurt from 15 to 18 June. Last year, the tournament was won by Australian duo Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock.
