"He's just a bit of a weirdo": Van Gerwen picks Van den Bergh as player he doesn't like losing to

Michael van Gerwen shared his opinion on fellow pro Dimitri van den Bergh in an interview with the MMA Hour calling him a weirdo.

During the broadcast while they were in New York, he was asked which player he really does not like losing to and he said Dimitri van den Bergh after thinking for a moment.

"Why? Because he's in my pocket," said Van Gerwen on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. "It's not that I don't like him, he's just a bit of a weirdo."

The same question was then put to World Champion, Michael Smith who joined MVG on the show with both being part of the famous nine-dart finish which got Helwani into darts.

Asked who is his Dimitri, Smith said: "Don't call it like that," to which Van Gerwen interjected and said Rob Cross. "He's one of them," he continued. "I don't like losing to Gary Anderson as he gives me some stick."

"But he's retiring soon, who's the guy you don't like who's in this tournament then. It must be Rob Cross," replied Van Gerwen.

"You've told everyone now," concluded Smith.
