It's a repeat of the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts final. A final that went into the history books as one of the most heated darts matches ever. Meanwhile, the relationship between the Welshman and the Scot has normalized a bit more. Moreover, both players are also in top form.

Price posted averages of 110 and 112 in the pool stage, while Anderson delivered a strong third pool match and took three Players Championship titles to his name this year. Moreover, Anderson won all of his clashes with Price this year, and 'The Flying Scotsman' leads 12-11 in the overall balance.
However, the two-time world champion realizes that he has a leaden task ahead of him to beat 'The Iceman' again. “Gezzy is playing proper darts," admitted Anderson. "I think my best average so far is 102, so I need to go up about eight points and he needs to come down! Hopefully it will be a cracker, but you know what these games are like when you give it the big build-up!”
By reaching the last sixteen, Anderson has at least kept his impressive streak alive. Never before has he dropped out in the group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts. He reached the final there in 2011 and 2018, but is yet to take overall victory.
“This has always been my favourite tournament,” said 'The Flying Scotsman'. “I’m not putting any pressure on myself, but imagine winning it after 16 years! I would love to have that trophy on the mantelpiece. My game is still there, and the way I’m playing, I believe I can beat anybody. It just depends which Gary turns up!”
