With a 10-5 win,
Josh Rock sealed a spot in the Quarter-Finals at the
Grand Slam of Darts at the expense of Krzysztof Ratajski. Scoring-wise, The Polish Eagle was able to keep up with super talented Rock, but his doubles let him down badly. On Friday, Josh Rock will face Chris Dobey or James Wade in the quarter-finals.
In the first session, Josh Rock immediately made the difference. Rock immediately broke Ratajski in 14 darts. The Pole failed to put Rock under pressure after that: in just 18 darts, it was 2-0. Rock then decided to turn on the jet engine and flew to 4-0.
NOW: Click here to go to our LIVE SCORE to follow the Grand Slam of Darts. After the 4-0 lead, it became a yo-yo match. Ratajski did record two 11 darts for 4-2, but did not pull it through. Rock did not need to be out in five innings to run out to 8-3.
Ratajski offered himself hope with a 12-darter to make 8-4, but Rock moved to 9-4 with a deadly 93-finish. Finally, Rock finished it off in the 15th leg, after a lot of missed doubles. It was 10-5. Where Josh Rock has been laborious at TV tournaments this year, he is on hand at the Grand Slam of Darts.
