Gary Anderson will not be in action at the
Slovak Darts Open in Bratislava this weekend after all. The PDC announced with the release of the draw for the Euro Tour event that “The Flying Scotsman” has withdrawn.
The reason why Anderson has ultimately decided not to play the
Slovak Darts Open, despite initially entering, is unknown. Anderson has played only two Euro Tour events in 2026 and exited in the second round on both occasions. From 2017 through 2022, Anderson did not play any Euro Tour events at all, and in recent years he has appeared only sporadically.
The vacant spot is taken by Madars Razma, the highest-ranked player on the Order of Merit who lost in the final round at the Tour Card Holder Qualifier. Big names such as Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, James Wade, and Josh Rock are also absent from the very first Euro Tour event ever staged in Slovakia.
