Luke Littler obliterated Matt Campbell in a little over 10 minutes at Madison Square Garden and is into the Quarter-Finals of the US Darts Masters on debut. As ever though, he is taking everything in his stride.
Littler averaged 103 on his debut at the US Darts Masters and he didn't even know how he did but that it felt good. "It just felt like everything went well. Not too sure on the stats I've just hit but I felt good and I just couldn't wait to get on there tonight," said Littler. "I've joined the winning list of one game, but I'd like to go further and win the trophy."
He also used the theme song of undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes replacing Greenlight while he is in the US and he explained the choice.
"Obviously the American's love the Wrestling and that's where it's based. Cody (Rhodes) gave me a message yesterday and so I thought let's use his walk-on."
But he also saw the US Darts Masters as just another trophy in his usual nonchalant manner as well as admitting the same about his Premier League triumph last week. He also spoke about the media interest in him which he sees as good for the sport.
"It's been crazy but it's also a good thing as the darts gets more recognisable outside of the UK and in different countries. Everything went well tonight and I can't wait to play again tomorrow."
"It would just be another trophy but it'd obviously mean the world like you say the amount of athletes that have won here and hopefully I can go further tomorrow."

- It seems odd that at the World Championship they have dancing ladies in hot pants and pom poms and yet the walk on ladies who were much more elegantly attired get removed from the scene. I met Daniella at Silverstone when she was a grid girl in the F1 race and was very pleasant indeed.
