Luke Littler is currently in New York, where he will be in action this weekend at the
US Darts Masters, a tournament that is part of the World Series of Darts as the 17-year-old makes his debut stateside.
Littler got off to an excellent start at Madison Square Garden, where he wiped the floor with Matt Campbell 6-0 in the first round. He powered past the Canadian number one with a 103.66 average, pinning four 180's en route to victory as he crushed the Canadian who has barely won a match on tour all year. He will take on another Canadian Jeff Smith in the quarterfinals next, after the Canadian took out former world champion Michael Smith. Notably in his US Darts Masters tie however, Littler entered the stage to
a different walk-on music. That aforementioned walk-on change was to the traditional song used by WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes as he walks to the ring. Prior to the tournament, Littler and Peter Wright actually took a visit to WWE headquarters and the 17-year-old darting sensation was gifted a special message from the 'American Nightmare' himself. Littler has long been known as a fan of the WWE and his more traditional walk-on song, 'Green Light' by Pitbull was inspired by his visit to Wrestlemania 33 a few years back.
Littler and the WWE also
previously got in contact with each other as the Nuke was bursting into the global sporting consciousness at the recent World Darts Championship when he was invited to visit the wrestling at the O2 Arena in London with his family. Whilst Littler and Cody Rhodes weren't able to meet in person, the WWE Champion sent a message of good will to teen on video call via the screen at WWE in New York
