Gerwyn Price calls for a champions’ ring: “If we hand out golden darts for a nine-darter, then why not a ring for the world title?”

Gerwyn Price is known for his outspoken views, but this time, The Iceman once again attracted attention with a striking proposal. Via social media, the former world champion shared a playful design for a gold ring intended for the winner of the World Darts Championship, with a silver version for the runner-up.

“Golden darts for a nine-darter in the Premier League. How about a World Championship winner Ring," said Price. "Gold/diamond for the winner and Silver/diamond for runner-up. #Thoughts?”

Although the proposal was clearly brought with a heavy dose of humor, it received a lot of acclaim online. With his suggestion, Price seems to want above all to emphasize how special winning the world title is.
