Gerwyn Price, Damon Heta already through to Last 32 as first round concludes at Players Championship 11

The second round is well underway at the 11th Players Championship with Gerwyn Price and Damon Heta among those already through to the board finals. The former took down Jeffrey de Zwaan, whilst Heta saw off Daniel Klose.

Also with a supreme effort was Daryl Gurney who averaged 108 in moving through. Earlier in the first round, Nathan Aspinall who is unseeded won through his opener with a 100 average as Peter Wright also sealed victory.

This was despite Michael van Gerwen losing out in the opening round to Franz Roetzsch as the main casualty thus far. But with the second round now beginning, there are certainly more shocks on the way.
