Gerwyn Price and
Michael Smith have qualified for the final during the first night of
Premier League Darts play. They will battle it out among themselves to see who takes the first weekly title in Cardiff.
Price recorded a comfortable victory over
Rob Cross thanks to an average of 101.84. After four legs, the score was still 2-2 before Price took a two-leg lead with a 13-darter and a 78 finish.
The Welshman was then not out in five visits, but Cross failed to take advantage of this slip. With a 16-darter, 'The Iceman' extended his lead to 5-2. Price then closed beautifully with a 12-darter for the match.
Michael Smith, who won over Michael van Gerwen earlier in the evening, then also managed to advance to the final match. After an exciting match he defeated
Luke Littler 6-5. Littler first missed one matchdart on double 15, before Smith struck with a 55 finish.
