Gerwyn Price set to make a unique piece of European Tour history this weekend at German Darts Grand Prix 2025

This weekend, the 2025 German Darts Grand Prix is on the programme for the PDC as the European Tour continues to rumble on. In Munich, Gerwyn Price arrives as the 6th seed and in the process, the Welshman is set to make a unique piece of Euro Tour history.
With his appearance as the 6th seed, Price becomes the first players in the storied history of the European Tour to compete at a tournament as one of all 16 seeded positions. As revealed by darts stats guru FEBsData on X (Twitter), no other player has ever managed to complete the feat in the past.

In total, six players are on the verge of playing on the Euro Tour in all 16 seeded positions. Dave Chisnall, so often amongst the very top seeds on Euro Tours and Pro Tours, needs only to start a tournament as the 11th seed. Joe Cullen has performed as a seed of all kinds expect 2nd over the years, whilst the likes of Rob Cross, Simon Whitlock, Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith have been seeded every position from 2 to 16, but are still yet to enter a Euro Tour event as the top seed, something that now looks unlikely to ever happen for Whitlock at least.
If Price is to crown this unique piece of Euro Tour history with a title win in Munich this Easter weekend, the former world champion looks like he might have a tricky opener, as a potential meeting with the Dutch darting icon and five-time champion of the world, Raymond van Barneveld will be on the cards for Price in round 2, should the legendary Dutchman be able to push back the challenge of host nation qualifier Michael Rosenauer this Saturday first.

- ITV coverage is far superior to SKY It is excellent, always very interesting from an extremely knowledgeable team. I love Chris Mason, Jacqui, Alan and Ned, brilliant presenters and so enjoyable. ITV are also losing their absolutely fantastic Tour de France coverage. They do not get enough credit for the fantastic job they do. What the fudge do BBC do with darts? - I was always a fan of Rocky, another one of my heroes banished never to return....unless he changes his name to Anne. Andy didn't need to fix matches, he is a good player and wealthy. It sounds like too many people were involved in the bets, and it rather suitably circumstantial. Richie Gardiner has heat with Rocky. How can anyone predict where a player will throw a dart, I purposely avoided hitting 180 when I played as the organisation would pay £10 for each 180 hit to a charity I refused to contribute to. - Surely then as darts is ‘your job’ then do your job and less exhibitions even if they pay more, or retire and do the exhibition circuit. Appreciate that exhibitions are gauranteed income, you get your fee.
