Sky Sports Darts has brought out a new video. In it, some of the top players are asked some pertinent questions about their colleagues, which yield some extraordinary answers. We get to know the darters better and, above all, find out what they think about each other.
Thus, to begin with, the darters had to answer who among their colleagues is the most superstitious. "Chris Dobey," Luke Littler said firmly. "You should see him with his case..." Dobey himself, by the way, agrees wholeheartedly. "Yeah I'd have to say myself. I always like to similar routines. I'm very superstitious that type of way."
"I'm definitely most superstitious," Gerwyn Price, on the other hand, insists. Stephen Bunting, in turn, opts for a Dutchman. "I'd have to say Wessel Nijman," says The Bullet. "He always wears the same pair of pants when he's on stage."
Former world champion Luke Humphries, in turn, opts for himself. “I have a few little superstitions that I do. I have to touch the floor before I have my practice darts. I don’t know why, it’s just something that came in [to my routine]," he explains. “There was a development tour that I needed to win just after my uncle passed and I did this (he gestures a kiss on his hand and points to the sky), and I did win. Now I’ve got to do that every time I play darts because it’s a superstition that if I don’t do it, I’ll lose.”
And who is best dressed according to their peers. "Has to be Gerwyn Price," says Bunting, with Price himself in full agreement. "He dresses for a night out, so he always looks suave," Bunting adds with a smile.
