Gian van Veen won the fifth tournament of the PDC Development Tour 2024 last Sunday. 'GVV The Giant' is increasingly among the most successful players of all time on the Development Tour.
The PDC organizes 24 of these tournaments annually for players aged 16 to 23. Since 2022, Van Veen has already managed to win eight of these tournaments. If Van Veen does not finish in the top-32 of the world rankings, he can still compete on the Development Tour through 2026.
Ted Evetts is the player with the most Development Tour titles. He managed to win 14 of these tournaments. In doing so, Evetts also leaves behind Dimitri van den Bergh (12), Luke Humphries (11), Nathan Rafferty (10) and Dean Reynolds (2019), among others.
By the way, Keane Barry now stands at seven Development Tour titles. The 21-year-old Irishman managed to win two of five Development Tour titles last weekend. Barry now stands with Rusty-Jake Rodriguez on seven tournament victories.
