Gilding returns to big stage for first time since UK Open with Gurney win as De Decker and Hempel also move through in Riesa

Andrew Gilding, Mike de Decker and Florian Hempel are the latest players through to the Last 32 at the International Darts Open in Riesa.

For Gilding, it was his first big stage appearance since winning the UK Open against Daryl Gurney who has qualified for nearly all European Tour tournaments so far.

But it was back to the big stage and form for 'Goldfinger' who produced a 100.9 average with three 180's and 6/9 on the doubles en route to a 6-4 win.

While Mike de Decker hit three maximums en route to seeing off Callan Rydz 6-3 making good of a late comeback to this weekend following withdrawals and now faces Michael Smith.

Florian Hempel too is through with the home favourite pouncing on 20 missed darts at double from James Wilson to delight the home crowd in a 6-4 win.
